Actors
We are looking for dedicated, energetic, hard-working and scare-loving individuals with awesome improv skills to work the 2026 Halloween season. No experience? No problem! We love helping people find their inner spookiness!
Auditions will be held in person on July 25th and 26th, Aug 8th and Aug 15th, 2026. We will also be accepting video auditions until August 14th at 9pm.

As an actor your number one job is to scare people! How fun is that?
There are various types of characters and roles throughout the haunted houses, therefore we will choose a role that is best suited for you. Actors are expected to stay in character and act your character as directed, wearing the required costumes with either make-up or masks to finish off their look. As you are consistently dealing with guests, we expect you to remain professional and uphold Deadmonton’s high standards of conduct. You are responsible for coming prepared and on time. As there is one indoor haunted house and one outdoor haunted house, you may be working outside.
Assistant Actor Manager
As part of the Deadmonton Management Team, the Assistant Actor Manager will be responsible for assisting with recruitment and casting of actors, training, and mentoring. Actor placement and ensuring shows are ready to open on time; and assist actor managers with other tasks as required. The assistant actor manager will also act, but in a capacity where they are able to overview and supervise the area they are working in.

Position begins in July and continues through to the 2nd week of November. Hours vary – mostly evening and weekends. As we get closer to the Halloween season, hours will increase.

Makeup/FX Artists
Have a knack for makeup or FX experience? Whether you are professionally trained or not, we’d love to see your work! Show us what you’ve got and we’ll see if you are a good fit for Deadmonton’s make-up team.

Our FX make-up artists are responsible for getting our actors ready for the show!
Experience in FX such as latex, appliances and other unique skills is preferred, however, we do not require that you are professionally trained. What we want to see is your portfolio and what experience you have on the FX side of things! Makeup shifts are shorter and usually start an hour or two before showtime and are approx.. 3-4 hour shifts.

Customer Service Reps are one of the first contacts the customer has with Deadmonton.
You are expected to greet customers, be helpful and assist customers in navigating through the compound and answer questions guests may have. We have customer service reps checking tickets, directing line-ups, punching tickets and being present in the compound. Our fright attendants are an integral part of Deadmonton so be prepared to have an incredible time as part of the Deadmonton Team.
Parking lot attendants work outside in the parking lot and help direct guests in and out of the lot. You are expected to be friendly, helpful and well organized as the area is quite busy and can get congested quickly. This is an outdoor position.
Retail Store Staff

Concession Team Lead
We are seeking Motivated Concession Team Leads to join our team!
As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for assisting with Training, and mentoring of concession workers in a variety of different skills/disciplines. Aiding in staff placement and ensuring equipment and areas are ready to open on time and run smoothly; Manage inventory and create orders; Assist managers with other tasks as required.

Concession Staff
We are currently looking for concession staff!
Our concession staff are responsible for serving customers in our concession; making mini donuts, popcorn, coffee, and mixed alcohol drinks; and running a Point of Sale system. Must have a friendly and service-oriented attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to changes.
All concession staff must have their Pro-Serve.
